The City of Sacramento is scrambling to meet a revised deadline of 2020 to leave flat water rates behind and convert completely to water meters. Teichert Construction is one of the contractors partnering with the city to complete this ambitious program, which is meant to address California’s serious drought. Teichert is replacing main lines as well as backyard pipe connections and installing the meters themselves in neighborhoods and commercial districts spread across the city.

“Our crew has really actively embraced our philosophy of actively caring,” said Dan Stoloski, Teichert Project Manager.

That philosophy, Stoloski explained, means taking the time to treat homeowners just like friends and family. That includes explaining the scope of the project to affected homeowners, and working to minimize disruptions as Teichert works to transform Sacramento’s use of a precious resource.
