Current Major Projects
Nacimiento Water Project, Specification #3
This project entails placing 23 miles of 30 inch and 36 inch steel pipeline from Lake Nacimiento to the south side of Paso Robles. Complete project details can be found here.Donner I
We are rehabilitating I-80 east of the Donner Lake undercrossing to the Trout Creek undercrossing. We began work in April of 2008, and it will be completed in either 2010 or 2011.The project consists of blasting, earth work, underground drainage, concrete retaining walls, concrete barrier walls, large drainage structures, and the rehabilitation of portland cement concrete and asphalt concrete.
Donner II
Our crews are also hard at work on the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-80 from west of the Soda Springs overcrossing to the Donner Summit Safety Rest Area. This project began in mid-2007 and will be completed in 2009-2010, depending on weather constraints.The job consists of earthwork, blasting, replacing bridges, rehabilitating the portland cement concrete roadway, asphalt concrete, drainage improvements, concrete barrier walls, and miscellaneous minor concrete structures.

Highway 49 Widening
Heavy & Highway completed the 2.2 mile widening of a portion of Highway 49 near Auburn three months ahead of schedule and without a single injury during the two-year project.I-80 Rehab Project
Another noteworthy project was the recent $40.5 million I-80 rehabilitation project from Highway 193 in Newcastle to Highway 174 in Colfax in Placer County. This is a heavily used corridor for commuters, truckers, and travelers for points east of California.Heavy & Highway used an innovative piece of equipment that crushes up asphalt, recycles it, then lays the "new" recycled asphalt to form a new roadway that can be driven upon within hours.
