Current HOPE Sponsored Events
Creek Week Cleanup- Saturday, April 17th, 2010- 9:00 a.m. to noon
For the past few years, Teichert volunteers have cleaned an area of Morrison Creek along Teichert property. This year Teichert volunteers will be joining with other Creek Week cleanup crews. Our location and details will be made available shortly. This is a child-friendly volunteer project where families are encouraged to participate. Rebuilding Day- Saturday, April 24th, 2010- 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Rebuilding Together is a not-for-profit organization that creates affordable, safe, and efficient housing. Their vision is that all homeowners, particularly low-income seniors, live independently in comfort and safety in their own home. They accomplish their mission through home repairs and modifications on existing homes.Skilled and unskilled volunteers are invited to participate in this exciting community workday. Family, friends, and kids over 16 are welcome and enouraged to help preserve and revitalize our community. Details about this event will be available soon.
If you would like to participate in a community revitalization project but you do not live in the Sacramento area, there are Rebuilding Together affiliates in Diablo Valley and Kern County as well as Habitat for Humanity locations throughout California.
Walk 'n Rock for Kids- Sunday, May 30th, 2010
This is the 2nd annual WALK 'N ROCK FOR KIDS, once again being held at Raley Field in West Sacramento.WALK: The event will kick off with a morning 5K walk. Participants will walk and raise funds on behalf of the Walk 'n Rock for Kids 2010 Nonprofit Partners and Nonprofit Associates. There is NO FEE to register before May 22, 2010. All proceeds go directly to the children's charity. Team Teichert Trekkers has been organized and is ready to start fundraising and walking. To join Team Teichert Trekkers and/or help raise money for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Sacramento, e-mail Nancy Eddinger.
ROCK: Later that evening, Hope Productions and corporate partners will host an exclusive VIP reception and a benefit concert featuring HEART and SAMMY HAGAR open to the general public. The proceeds from the concert will be divided among the Nonprofit Partners. Tickets are NOW AVAILABLE through ticketmaster.com
